Furniture for the great outdoors is just as challenging to design for a suited purpose as interior.  Again a required aesthetic is important in keeping the piece sympathetic with it's surrounding environment.  Native oak is definitely the material of choice for it's durability and the way it weathers naturally to a silvery grey colour over time.
